Week 21

Dear Mom and Dad,
Heeyyy! Ah it sounds like you are both doing great and that makes me so happy! I hope that things continue to go well at home. Thank you so much for the pictures of Brayson! Ah he is such a stud. After hearing the update on the tournament it got me so excited!! I love wrestling season haha. I actually had a dream last night that I was back in the parade of Champions and getting ready for the Championship match. I was crying in my dream because I was so happy and excited! hahahaha it was so funny. I couldn't help but laugh when I woke up.
I haven't gotten any packages yet this week but they should be coming in on Tuesday. Don't worry if they are late haha I will be just fine:) I don't think there is much else I need but if there is I will surely let you know! I sent you a package last week so hopefully it gets there by Christmas time! Thank you so much for everything. Oh and I forgot to tell you last week that I am staying with Elder B in Stockport! Super pumped about that haha. Yeah just make sure you give me the Skype address but I think I will be able to call you before I skype so yeah. And we have an hour! But anyways, I am so glad that you are reading your scriptures and praying fervently. That and the atonement is the best medicine for a wounded soul! I love it so much
We went and had a baptismal interview in strettford with this investigator in our district and we got to go by the Manchester United Stadium! That was Pretty sweet. We also had a ward Christmas party  is week and it was so much fun! I also got to see jesse yesterday and he has been off of smoking for over a month now and is doing great! I am so happy for him:)
It was a good week here in Stockport. It started off quite slow on the teaching lessons side because it seemed like so many people needed service at the same time! It was really good though. There is a single woman in our ward, Sister D. Her daughter actually jumps horses in competitions so she had us go down and move the hay and muck out the stalls and stuff. I felt right back at home!! It is weird to say but the smell of manure made me smile haha. We were also able to help a non- member and his family put together his drive way which was super fun! Hopefully their hearts are softened and we can begin to talk about the church. They are a really lovely family! We were able to find them as well as 2 other families this past week which is fantastic! We are way excited to start teaching them. We were also able to find 2 more investigators to teach.
Mark is progressing very well. We get to see him 3 times a week and we have taught him pretty much everything in the lessons that he needs to know before baptism and he has readily accepted everything. He reads from the Book of Mormon every single night and prays as well. He always says the most meek and humble prayers and he truly has a desire to change his life and to partake of the blessings of the gospel. Every time we ask him about the Book of Mormon he just says, in his words, 'I always get the feeling. It's weird, but it's a very good weird.' Haha. He knows it's the Holy Ghost testifying the truth to him. I am so grateful for his willingness to grow and change. He is getting interviewed for baptism on wednesday and if he passes he is still scheduled to get baptised on the 20th.
We have been able to teach Pole' a bit more frequently lately. Luckily we have 3 French speakers in our ward. his English is coming on very well but we still teach him with a translator because the gospel terms are hard to explain with the language barrier. But we all know that the Spirit is the master teacher and as long as He is there, that is what's important. He has felt the Spirit and He knows the Book of Mormon is true. He came to church with us Yesterday but we didn't get the chance to ask him how he liked it. We are going over tonight so hopefully he has received an answer about baptism.
Bryan is coming along very well. he is gaining a stronger testimony. He is down to about 6 cigs a day so hopefully he will continue to progress with that. His goal is still to be done by Christmas and He still hasn't had any coffee for a while. He has been to church every Sunday since I have been here! We are very excited for him.
We had the most amazing Sunday yesterday. We walked to church with Mark and Pole' and had an amazing time at church. We were able to teach Gospel Principles class about the Sacrament. There is a quote from an Apostle and he said that if we truly understood the importance of the Sacrament, then we would crawl on our hands and knees to get to the Chapel every Sunday. How amazing is that. The Sacrament is a saving ordinance and I pray that I might more fully understand it. After church we were at the bus Station getting ready to go drop some stuff off at the flat. As we stood there waiting for the bus this little old lady walked up to us and asked us of we were mormons. We replied yes we are. Her face Immediately lit up and she said 'I am Mormon!' Tears began to fill her eyes as we began to speak to her. She is about 50 years old and she is from Hungary and her name is Maria. She speaks broken English and she has been here in Stockport for about 3 Months. She explained how she is a miad for this family from Pakistan and how they don't allow her around very much and she doesn't know her way around Stockport. She was crying as she told us that she reads the Scriptures every night and has a picture of Jesus but hasn't been able to find the church. After a while we figured out where she lived and we offered to take her to the chapel. She was overjoyed! We took her to the church and right when she stepped into the building she just began to weep. She was so reverent and so quiet. We walked into the chapel and she just turned to us and asked 'Can we pray?' We said yes of course. We all sat down and she offered a prayer in Hungarian. We couldn't understand her but the Spirit Immediately filled the room and it was so amazing. This little woman was so grateful to just be able to be inside of the church. I was overcome with love. We sorted some things out and she gave us some numbers and we are trying to track down her record numbers. The family she works for won't let her leave the house until 11 am and church is at 10 so we are trying to find a solution for that. It was a truly amazing experience and it was a miracle that we found her, or that she found us. We weren't even going to go that route that we did but we were meant to. it is amazing how the Lord works.
I have been reading and studying the book of Helaman and particularly chapter 5. The word Remember is said very frequently and I believe it is one of the most important words in the entire book. What do we need to remember? We are counseled to remember teachings and Christ and all sorts of things but why do we need to remember? So we 'Cannot Fall' as it says in Helaman 5:12. But how do you remember. That is the Dilemma. It is so easy to forget it seems! We forget the teachings, we forget the Spiritual experiences we have, and we forget the Love of our heavenly Father. So how do we remember? We continue to work!! WE continue to learn things and we continue to seek those Spiritual experiences and that Spiritual Guidance, and we continue to seek and feel the love of Our Father and our Savior. The way to remember is to keep experiencing. There never comes a point in our lives where we can say that we have the requisite amount of Faith, we have repented enough, we have done enough good deeds. No. We need to continue to progress and increase and to REMEMBER. It is my prayer that I will always remember my Savior and to build my foundation on him. One that can't be shaken or broken.
Sorry this email is a bit scattered haha.I just want you all to know how much a love and care about you. I hope that you all have an amazing week!!

Love
Elder Wilcox
