Week 29

Hey Mom!!
It is so good to hear from you. I love your emails so much. I don't get too many emails anymore haha so I have extra time to write you and Dad each an individual one:)
I love the Sabbath Day as well. But I do kinda miss them back home haha. They can actually be quite stressful. We have ward council at 7:45 and then church at 10. I am always stressing about our investigators making it and making sure that they feel welcome haha it about drives me nuts. But taking the Sacrament always makes me feel so much better. It is that Spiritual fuel that I need. Oh Grandpa Lynn. Tell him that I said hi! I love that man. He is amazing. And Grandpa Bruce. He has been one of the best examples in my entire life. I am seriously so grateful for him and I miss working on the farm with him haha.
That video is really good isn't it. Brings comfort to me. There are so many Mormon  messages that are so good! There is one called the refiners fire and it talks about how this lady lost most of her family to cancer and how she got through it. It is truly amazing. There is also a talk that I think you might like that is titled The Songs They Could Not Sing by Elder Cook. So good. And another talk that is called It Is Never Too Late by Elder Holland. That is a lot of homework but it is so good!:) Spiritual nourishment haha. You're the best mom. Keep sharing that testimony and I promise you that it will get stronger.
Ah the Youth get to go on a trek!!!!!!! I am so jealous. I always wanted to do one of those. They better get excited or I'll come whoop them haha. That will seriously be so fun and so spiritual! Hey and I was thinking. You should send Brays to EFY or AFY. My testimony was really strenthened when I went there.
Yeah the Baptism was good!:) Now we just gotta find more people haha. Thank you so much for running those errands for me that I can't haha it is really helpful. I just wanted to make sure that money wasn't getting stolen or something ha.
AH Jr. High State. Tell Gager that I said hi and that I really miss and love him! Emmry as well. Ah I love them. Tell Gage to give it everything he's got at that tournament. Don't ever quit! It is worth it to fight to the end.
We have had a good week this week! I thought that I knew what tired was but this week I have felt extra tired haha. But I wouldn't want it any other way. It is pretty draining leading the area and making call ins every night and taking care of the District. I have really had to rely on the Lord for strength but I know that when I lay down to sleep at night, that being exhausted is good. I know that I did everything I could do that day. I gave my all for the Lord. And next thing I know the alarm goes off and we have another day to conquer haha. It is so amazing.
Bryan is progressing very well since baptism.  The change in him is truly incredible. His entire family. He is now preparing to receive the Aaronic Priesthood and we are also getting started on his family history so he can go with the ward in March to do Baptisms at the temple! He is very excited for that. he has been to the temple a few times but has always wanted to be able to go in. He went up there last week and got a brand new quad that he likes to show off to everybody hahah.
We have experienced in amazing miracle with our investigator Daniel who is 21. So he is the one that just showed up to church last week. He said he was walking by and had a strong impression to just come in. We were able to have 2 lessons with him this past week and they were so powerful. He has moved here from Romania and as we taught him the Plan of Salvation he expressed to us that he lost both of his parents when he was 15 and has always pondered what happened to them. As we told him the plan and how he could be with his family once again he was just amazed. He stated that being able to live with God and his family together is 'The highest honor that he could ever think of.' He is very knowledgeable and has attended 2 years of Theology school so it is a lot of fun to teach him. He is truly a miracle and is scheduled for baptism on the 21st of Feb. We actually didn't learn this until after the fact but one of our other investigators fasted last saturday that we would find a new investigator. And also a couple in our ward prayed fervently that we would be able to find someone to baptise on that same saturday. The next day Daniel just shows up to church! haha. We are so grateful and humbled.
We actually taught this man last week that lives in a long boat in a canal and he is an ex-sniper for the Royal Army hahaha it was crazy! The lesson didn't go very well cause he just kept swearing and talking about how horrible he felt for shooting people. That certainly went in my journal haha.
It seems lately that a lot of people keep telling us, 'Well if there was a God then why do bad things happen.' And also 'If there is a God then he is kind. I haven't done too much wrong in my life so when I get there I won't be punished.' It makes me cringe a bit when people say these things. I have researched them both and found great comfort in the scriptures. I love D&C 29:39 and believe it with all of my heart. Life and trials are almost like Newtons law. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The more pain and sorrow that we have felt, I believe that our capacity to feel joy and happiness increases. It is explained very well by a woman on LDS.org who lost most of her family to cancer. And for the other statement, in Matthew Chapter 7 it talks about the way to Eternal Life being straight and narrow. We can't take any course that we want and end up in the same destination. That is not how God works. I know that He has set a plan and prepared a way fro us and the Keeper of the gate if the Holy One of Isreal. Our Savior Jesus Christ.
I love you so much mom and you are my angel! Email is great haha. I hope that you have an amazing week full of great experiences:)

Love your son,
Elder Wilcox
