Week 30

Hello Mommy:)

I thought you would like the individual email!! I haven't been getting as many lately so I have some extra time to send individual ones:) I know you miss my hugs because I give the best ones in the world haha;) Gage is a STATE CHAMPION!!!! Ah that is so amazing. I am so proud of him! Heck yeah! And I really love the socks haha those things are legit! I am so glad that he likes them. Thank you so much for the pictures and the video!! That seriously made my entire week haha that kid is a beast! I love it. I wonder if my brothers are going to have an obsession with socks like I do haha. I hope so much that I was the type of brother that I needed to be. I love my siblings so stinkin much! And I hope I was the good older brother that they like! haha.

Oh that is so good to hear about Sara. I was seriously worried about her for a bit. Hopefully she has come out of that rebellious stage haha. That is so amazing that she wants to have a temple marriage. The highest of all blessings come through having a temple marriage. I hope and pray that I can find a beautiful virtuous and lovely young lady that I can take to the temple. That we can be sealed for time and all eternity and raise a family in the gospel:) nothing sounds better then that to me haha.

The path of following Christ is not an easy one. It isn't meant to be easy. Christ talks to people that want to follow Him and he explains how He, the Son of God, doesn't even have a place to lay his head. He has no where to live. All he is doing is going about and taking care of His Fathers business. Oh man he is amazing. I wish I could have the Faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains.

I am grateful that you have cut all ties with the things that are holding you back. It's all about steady progression mom. Don't worry about what point you are at on the escalator of life. Just keep climbing! Keep climbing or you will move backwards. Thank you for your desire.

We have had a bit of a slower week in Stockport this week. We had a few dated investigators drop us and we had a lot of time to go finding. We found a lot of great people and had some great lessons but we struggled to get return appointments. We did manage to get in contact with a couple of former's though and we got some appointments set up with them and a referral in this coming week so hopefully we are able to build our teaching pool back up to what it was.

Bryan was able to get the Aaronic Priesthood this Sunday and was ordained to the office of a Priest. That was a truly great experience and their entire family is so excited to be able to have a Priesthood holder in their home. It really brings a different feeling and a sense of order and authority. I am personally so grateful for the priesthood and I know that it works according to Faith. Bryan was also able to bear his testimony at the Member Missionary fireside last night. It was the first time that he has ever bore his testimony and he did an amazing job. It has been a long road for Bryan to get to this point and he still has a long ways to go but he progresses more and more in the gospel each and every week.

I have restarted my study of the Book of Mormon and I decided that before I began that I would read all of Joseph Smith History was well as all of the testimonies of the Witnesses. I have read them before but I don't think that they have ever had such a great effect on me. I have received multiple witnesses through the power of the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the Restoration and that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. Later in the same day I read those things I was able to bear testimony of the Prophet and the Spirit once again confirmed to me that what I said was true. It was an amazing experience. The more I learn about Joseph the more I understand what an amazing and humble man he was. He was just an honest seeker of truth. We all just need to knock. If we seek, we shall find. 

I have learned that God just doesn't give answers to anyone. That is a point that we have had to get across to our investigators lately. We have to seek with REAL INTENT. If we don't really have the intention of acting on an answer from God then why would he give it to us. Real intent is Real important haha.

I was reading how Laman and Lemuel were complaining saying that Laban could Command 50 and even slay 50. That they had no chance of doing anything. Nephi binds himself to God through an oath and says he will basically die trying to get those plates because it is a commandment of God. Are we willing to 'Die' for our testimonies? To stand up for what we believe in? I then found a scripture in Romans 8:31 that says it perfectly.

Elder Young and I are doing good. Elder Young is becoming very bold and it is a joy to go finding with him.

I bear you my witness that we are doing the work of the Lord. I know with every fiber of my being that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he restored the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth.
