I can't believe I've been out for nearly a month now! So crazy. It does feel like ages though haha. The days seriously turn into months because we have 16 hour days. I feel like the day is almost over and I look at my watch and it says 3 o'clock and Im like what the heck!!?? haha but once the week is over it feels like it went pretty quickly.
I miss you so much! Im so glad you are all doing well and that Grandma is doing alright. She is an amazing lady. Hopefully you find a home soon Dad! haha. I had a dream about your new house and it made me so excited to see it when it's done! You will have to send me pictures. And send me pictures of everything else as well!
Oh I remember how hectic it got during fair time haha. I don't really miss doing an animal but I miss all the festivities and stuff! We always had so much fun. And it was such a relief when it was over haha. Oh I miss Emmry so much! And Gage! Ah man. At least Brayson emails me haha he is such a good kid. I hope they are doing well and I hope you are all doing well!! Keep me updated on football as well as everything else.
This week was difficult but good. We had 2 meetings in Crewe which kind of took up a lot of our time. I love riding the train though because the countryside is so gorgeous to watch as we go. We have been doing a lot of finding lately. We need to get more investigators. I seriously love teaching and I love teaching appointments. The problem is, we need to find people to teach haha. We have faced a lot of rejection. We face rejection every single day and it's so easy to get discouraged. I have felt a lot of disappointment. But the tremendous thing is, is that the Savior is always there by our side to pick us up. Nothing is ever done in vain. We are called to do his work and if we suffer our afflictions with patience, He will bless us with success. Just like in Alma 26. The Devil is working hard as well though. We have been visiting Mark who is a convert but hasn't been to church in about 4 years. We had a lesson with him in the chapel this week and the Spirit was definitely there. He said he wasn't sure why he met with us, but now he knew. He said he wanted to come back to church and that he would be there. He had such great faith. I was so excited. But, on Saturday Mark had a mini stroke and wasn't able to come to church. Who knows how or why that happened but hopefully he doesn't forget those spiritual feelings and is able to keep the desire. We have also been teaching Noreen. She is in her 40's and we have taught her most of the lessons. I was overwhelmed by the Spirit When we were teaching her this week and asked her if she would be baptised by the proper priesthood authority. She said yes! And she said she would be to church this Sunday. Well, on Saturday night i felt we should contact her but she wouldn't answer her phone or the door. She didn't come to church so we tried by her house afterwards and there was a not telling us not to try to contact her in any way any more. It is so sad. We aren't sure what to do. She has felt the Spirit, but everyone has their agency. Hopefully a miracle can happen in her life.
I am seriously so grateful for personal study in the morning. I have learned more about the Gospel in these 4 weeks then I could ever even imagined. And there is so much more to learn!
Oh and if you send me anything, make sure you send it by airmail because if you don't then it will come by boat and take 4-5 weeks to get here, even letters. Just so you know haha.
It has been pouring rain lately. We are usually soaked through when we show up to appointments or to church haha. I feel like im in some sort of movie as i trek on my bike through the pouring rain. My legs are getting stronger everyday and I keep up with Elder Wyatt pretty easily now! My thighs are getting too big for my pants haha. It's such a good work out. We ride an average of around 10 miles per day.
We are also moving flats because the mission coordinator thinks our flat is rubbish haha so we are moving closer to towne center which is good.
Well i have to go. He for Family Home evening watch the mormon message called The Hope of God's Light. It's so good!! Anyways, I love you so much. I can't thank you enough for all you have taught me in my life.
Love
Elder Wilcox
