Hey sorry I didn't email you yesterday. It was a Bank Holiday here so pretty much everything was closed and we couldn't get in the library to email haha. I don't think I got your email from last week mum! And sorry about the pictures if they aren't working. I don't really know what I'm doing haha. This week has been great and super busy! We had District meeting and we moved flats as well so that took up a lot of our proselyting time which was kind of annoying. But the flat we are in now is pretty nice and I feel more and more at home each day;) haha.
That's funny about Brayson going up against Bronz haha. He is such a good kid! He writes me every week and we have some great discussions.
I really wish I could have gone to Lake Powell before I left. That sounds like so much fun! I am so jealous.
We have been working hard over here. It has been raining quite a bit lately!! WE get soaked on the bikes but I find it so much fun haha. We are on the Lord's errand doing his work and what better thing is there to be doing?? I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to dedicate each day of my life to the Lord and helping bring his sheep back to the fold along with myself. Conversion is a life long process. We never get to a point when we are done.
I have had the opportunity to use the priesthood a lot lately and it is so amazing every time. The priesthood is the power of God and Priesthood blessings can do amazing things. I love when I can feel the Spirit working through me. It's unexplainable. We always remind the recipients that the blessing will only come to pass according to the faith that the have. It takes about it in the last chapter of the book of james.
We have been teaching this girl Sarah and things are going along great. She believes that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. She wants to be baptised but is really nervous about how to approach her mother because her mother is strongly against it. I have faith that we can help her get over this obstacle with fasting, prayer, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
I am so grateful for the hour of personal study that we get each and every day. I truly treasure it and I feel the guidance of the Spirit to study things that I will need later on and it has happened several times. I am so grateful for the companionship of the Holy Ghost and the guidance it provides in everything that we do.
Ah Mum I thought you threw that ball away!! I knew you were just hiding it until I left;) haha. It's great that you are all staying busy!! I love being busy.
Tell Emm that I miss my very favorite sister and that I love her with all of my heart!!
I read a talk this week called "Becoming Perfect in Christ" by Elder Gerrit W. Gong. It was really good for me because you know me, I expect way too much of myself sometimes and it's not good. My job as a missionary is to deliver the message to all. It is there choice to accept or reject and it doesn't mean I'm a bad missionary if they don't. All I can do is strive to be the best teacher possible and invite people to exercise faith and hopefully help them feel of the Spirit.
I love you SOOOOO much and I hope you have a fantastic week. Remember to enjoy every single day, for it is a gift. There is always something good to find. We can always choose the attitude that we have. I love the story of Enos in the Book of Mormon. I love the Faith he has and I love what happens in the last verse, for I want the same exact experience. I love you!
Love
Elder Wilcox
